Oh what a sad sad day in Eugene. Our poor Ducks. Our poor Dennis Dixon. Ok, so I'm not a huge sports fanatic, but I DO love the Ducks and I DO love my husband's enthusiasm for the team. This photo was taken before the USC game a couple weeks ago as Martin headed off to it... with a happy face... he returned with that happy face, too. But after Thursday's game, that happy face was no more.
This photo reminds me of how fast my Olivia is growing up. Yes, she has fake eyelashes and makeup on, BUT she just looks so old and so grown up. And she really is. She always has been an "old soul", as one might say. She never talked in baby talk... she started talking in complete sentences very early ("Julie, would you like some cheese?"...remember Jules??)... she jumped into the role of big sister so well at age 2 with no jealousy or angst towards her new baby sister so many years ago now. I am so proud of who she is and who she is becoming. She is a magnet for positivity and such a good example to those around her. I love you, Liv. ♥
Then there's my sweet Morgan. Boy does she give me a run for my money! Ha! But my oh my do I love this 9 year old ball of energy. She was born with a mishievous *twinkle* in her eye, as my mom pointed out. For the first several years of her life, we called her "Chuggy". Why?? Well... because. That was just her. Morgan recently made a gratitude journal and in it wrote, "I am thankful for my friends and my family, my church, my home and the Temple. I am thankful for Heavenly Father and what He did for us. I am thankful for baptism." Then a day or so later added, "I am also thankful for some things that may be a little off this subject. I am thankful for toys, plants, money, Tinkerbell, trees, and Hannah Montana/Akon." Yep, that pretty much sums up her HUGE heart and faith... and a bit of her wordly side. Gotta love My MO! ♥
My little mister is my little love. There's just something special about a mother's love for her son. A mere two years ago I welcomed this precious soul into my life. I'll never forget the moment he was handed to me as I cried the happiest tears repeating over and over, "He's so perfect. He's so perfect." And he still is. His chubby cheeks and his kisses for me (even if he does spit after he kisses me!) are enough to keep him spotless in my eyes. The thought of him becoming a big brother both excites me yet is a bit bittersweet, as well. How do I share my heart with another? HE'S my baby. But I know with his mild and loving manner he will welcome that baby with open arms. ♥

I can not believe this is the little guy that was playing around with Addy at Jessie's wedding...oh' my! So darling. So excited that you are having another one. Still wish we could live in the same ward. Too bad I love Texas so much.
Hey Rachel! Wow, saw your link from Sara's and Lori's blog! Good to see your cute family! They definitely look like Hansens, but I see you in them, too!
We were devastated about the Ducks, too, even all the way here in Texas.
Morgan and Allyssa are so much alike, scary!
My sweet Hansen kids. They are so cute and getting so big. I love that Mo is still Mo, I hope she never changes. GO BEAVERS!
It was so wonderful seeing you and your family here in Idaho! I loved watching Christian trying to play with "Baby Cousin." You have the sweetest children!
We're excited to see you again this Christmas!
