Santa was crazy creative this year leaving for us a tower of gifts "under" our tree. What a surprise to come down the stairs to this sight. Christian stayed awake too late the night before and decided to sleep in Christmas morning. What to do?? Do we go ahead and open all these presents without him?? We ended up letting the girls open their stockings while we waited plus Morgan discovered one easily accessible present... a game cube! So the girls played on that for a little while until I went upstairs and brought him down. What a wonderful morning we had, just the FIVE of us.
The girls came down the stairs, and I with camera in hand, tried to snap their first reactions to the sight under the tree. That's always the best.
Christian was in awe with the "Tower". This is one of Martin's and my favorite pictures from Christmas morning.
Prying this little away from "play trains" was so difficult all day and evening long. He had no interest in eating or opening any other presents. We could've stopped with the train set he was so thrilled with it.
As I mentioned in a previous post, one of the Hansen traditions was leaving all the wrapping paper out all day. We left ours out for a bit, but not long. It was a mess!
