Sick Kid

Olivia woke up at this 6:30 morning crying over a painful ear. Poor girl. I had taken her in on Saturday to have it looked at and assured by the doctor on call that there was no ear infection. But now this? Hmm....
She crawled into bed with me (Martin was already up and running), I gave her Tylenol and a heating pad to put her ear on (the kind you microwave), and she slept until 10am. I had to take this sweet photo of her and her brother cuddling on the couch watching cartoons. Such love.

{June 2013} Watching her favorite movie Lemonade Mouth, Delaney declares she wants to change her name to Stella. I asked her if I should start now calling her "Stella"? "No", she decided... "I'll change my name when I'm older."

I made brown rice with dinner one night and added a bit too much water, making the rice very sticky. Martin commented that it's okay that way... the more water in it helps it to digest faster in our systems. Morgan commented, "Oh. That's why pee comes before poo!"

Morgan made a comment about Indians (Native Americans) and Olivia corrected her by saying, "Morgan, Indians are from India. Native Americans are the ones with the feathers right here". (right here was demonstrated with two fingers over her head.) Good thing she corrected her politically incorrect sister!
