The week we visited my mom in Portland, we also took a journey to the Oregon Zoo. Gotta love that place. I grew up taking field trips there, but so much has changed over the years. There's nothing like taking my own children now that I'm a *grown up*! The grown up part is debatable.
Our very favorite part of the zoo was the Sea Lion exhibit! They were amazing!!

I got like 2 pictures at the zoo last week because keeping up with Bennett was a challenge enough on my own. If Greg had been there, maybe I would have got more. Bennett would run from one exhibit to the next. He was so excited. Sadly, when you run that fast you miss stuff...like the good side of the rhino, the monkeys, the sea lions, the polar bears...well you get the idea. Geez louise.

The zoo is so much fun. We always went in the summer time. Our zoo here is fun, just not the same. :)
The sea lions are my favorite, too. I love how they seem to gobble up all the attention they get!
Well how about that, I just took my kids (and Uncle Mikey) to the Honolulu Zoo last saturday! Nini ran around and didn't drink enough, so got dehydration sickness, but other than that it was fun! I still gotta do one of theses blog and post pictures...

The zoo is one our family's very favorite places to visit. It's always a good family outing at the zoo!

Looks like so much fun, but anytime you make a trip to the zoo, there's fun to be had. I particularly liked that hippo picture. There's something about hippos, I find absolutely darling, call me crazy, but I do :)

What a great visit to Portland! Amazing how quickly summer went, eh? Started back to work today; it was very hard to say bye to Sis. Amazing that Olivia is starting 6th grade.
I take my kids to the zoo because they love it, but I am NOT a zoo lover. I am a lover of seeing the happy faces on my kids when we are there though:0) Last time we were there the sea lions were doin' the naughty-naughty and making some really funny noises. All of us adults were chuckling away and the kids just didn't have a clue. So funny!
