After laying Christian down for his nap yesterday, I opened my front door to go unload my van and look what I found!
These sweet little ducks have lived in this area every spring for years now, migrating amongst the neighbors' yards. I tried feeding them some bread, but they didn't seem too interested. My guess is they are fed very regularly.
Sadly, the girls were at piano lessons and Christian was napping, so it was only me that got to enjoy this "wildlife" in our yard.

That's Nate's comment above--I had to answer the phone.
What a pleasant surprise, and so appropriate for your location. Too bad the kids missed them.
I love ducks!!! We LOVE having a pond behind us...Ryan always checks to see what the ducks are doing. :-)
How funny is that!
How darling : ) Ducks are so cute. I think it's great that U of O has them as our mascot : )
I don't think there are ducks here in Utah...Madyson misses feeding them.
We have a pond so we are treated to duck sightings alot. One time there was so many it was a little freakish. I love to hear them flying by.
I saw these cute duckies on my way home from your book club Wednesday night! I grew up in a house that had a creek behind it. We called it Duck Creek, because it was full of Mallards. I wonder if you'll see some ducklings soon...
