Is there anything better than the love and spirit felt at Girls Camp??
NOPE!
Being with these young women for a week up at camp was seriously the best medicine for my broken heart after losing my grandma. I feel like I've been buoyed up by their zest for life. I miss these girls so much and LOVE them more than they'll ever know.
I had the opportunity to work with Nicki and my Tori Ford as unit leaders over the 4th year girls. (approximate age of 15) We were FOR SURE the most fun unit. ;)
Some of my favorite things about my week with them:
- staying up all night Thursday night sneaking around camp
- heart attacking the motorhome, the YCL's, and the cooks
- war paint
- kissy lips
- losing my cell phone in the middle of the field in the middle of the night only to find it by having one of the girls call it and watching for it to light up!! (remember, cell phones are NOT permitted at camp, lol!!)
- watching my Olivia grow and have FUN
- scaring the living daylights out of Christine and Ariel!!!
- Christine and Ariel's unit's jingle about me peeing my pants after scaring them! LOL
- introducing Tina to fa-JI-tas
- being referred to as "Mom" all week by my 4th years... so sweet.
- the wonderfully amazing spirit at Camp Alpine
- watching new friendships grow and blossom - and old friendships strengthen
- Jordan and Tori
Some of my 4th years - Rachel, Sheri, Alisa and Hannah
Cute little 2nd years - Christa, Alisha and Casey
My favorite 1st years - Olivia, Amanda and Anna
Olivia and Anna - New BFFs

I have always said that girl's camp is the greatest show on earth. Now I'm gonna "borrow" your phrase and say it is the BEST MEDICINE. I LOVE love LOVE love girl's camp. Thanks for sharing your great time and pics...
Lucky girlies to have a "mom" like you!
Aahh! What a sweet post! It makes me sad about not being able to go and makes me totally miss my girls camp. Sad day! But I agree, it's the best medicine. Thanks for sharing!

We're in the Mt. Hood Stake!!
oh wow. you come all the way down here for camp alpine?? hmm... i wonder how many other stakes do, too. do you know how long your stake's been coming down here for girls camp?
You brought back so many memories. I LOVED girls camp. You guys sleep in actual tents. Now that is the way to do it. We never did that all 6 years I went to camp. We always went to Camp Wilani and had cabins, but it was a good time. I still remember all the memories that we had there. Memories for a life time.
That made me miss girls camp oh so mcuh! I must day lady, you look fabulous with or without make-up :)
That is probably the #1 thing that I miss about young womens.
Looks like it was a blast!! I'm glad that it was just what you needed. I even noticed a difference in the whole YW meeting at our ward the Sunday after girls camp. I'm excited to have girls knowing there are many years of camp in my future!!
I know I would have liked camp better with you as a leader, looks like you had a great time.
Oh, looks like so much fun. I was just called to day to be the Mia Maid advisor.....so I guess I gotta get ready for everything that entails. I feel totally overwhelmed, but I knowi t will be tons of fun. You on the other hand were BORN to be in YW.
